Shortcut
first jump back
I made my first jump back last night after six months off, due to injury. I went out to a local 300' A with a couple friends for groundcrew. I was terrified on the way out there, thought about turning around a couple times, but to my suprise once I got on the antenna and started climbing the fear began to subside a little. The hardest/scariest part of the jump was getting my static line setup and geting turned around with only pegs and slippery wet steel to work on. The conditions were great, and once in position I felt confident, but def not without fear. After taking a moment to focus and play the jump in my head one more time I did my count and jumped out as hard as I could. The opening was perfect. I was a little slow getting the toggles, but I managed to make the neccessary left with plenty of time left to let the toggles up and flare for a soft standup landing.
