Re: [GreenMachine] Your Move Player
Yea, I understand the material advantage thing.. Rooks are better than bishops anyway so it was a good trade for you.
My plan was to not lose that first bishop because I was going to put you in check and keep you there till the game was over, and have that bishop there to help. But your Horsey Hiding in Plain Sight (HHiPS) would have come galloping in to save your bacon (moves were Qb6, Rd2, a few moves ago).
I actually predicted your past 5 or 6 move sequence (except the bishop capture), but I just thought I'd beat you to checkmate. But that horsey.
I had planned on you moving that pawn to g3 to block my bishop but I was willing to do it and even lose my bishop so I could open up h3 for my other bishop to restrict your king's movements, because I would have had you mated in several moves.
But that damn horsey.
OK my move is obviously Kxg6, and I'm assuming yours is Qxd8, leaving me with only a Queen, a Bishop, and four pawns versus the army at your command.
But the irony is, it's amazing what you can do with two well-placed pieces, even against such insurmountable odds...
