Re: [base570] probation for terrorist
Was your Crazy for the sentence or for
the use of the term "terrorist"?

Because regardless how one personally
feels toward Jeb, him getting probation
instead of jail time is good for all us!!

1) The precedent is good for any BASE
jumpers who in the future get arrested.

2) A year in jail or prison would have
been a 'pound of flesh' for that crime
and just another example* of the sad
bad problems with our judicial system.

* In some states a person gets MORE
jail time for possession of marijuana
than for rape.

I would prefer my own mom had to
deal with a stoner cashier at 7-11
than be raped.

Re: [GreenMachine] probation for terrorist
yes it was for the "terrorist" remark...

I was arrested in Mexico a month after 911 for supposedly being a terrorist Crazy
They are really grasping at straws when they start with the terrorist or conspiracy crap. They just want us to conform and be good little sheep! Don't do this, don't do that.....Don't rock the boat...

Do you (US-Citizens) believe in change in terror - related imputations, with Obama as new president?

There will be very little change under Obama...the american people and the world have been hypnotized into believing that he is the answer to all the problems. The 'honeymoon' will wear off soon enough and everyone will see that Obama is just like most politicians... and that is, he is OWNED! Politicians will only do things that will benefit the people/companies who got them to that position. If the continued threat of 'terrorism' benefits them, then it will continue. Terrorism is a funny thing, it's used to keep people afraid. When people are afraid they willingly give up their freedoms hoping that added security, surveillance will protect them from the threat. But, what most people don;t realize is that ANYONE can be considered a terrorist under the current nomenclature of the laws. So terrorism will never go away, a constant state of fear will continue, liberties will be lost. it's a never ending war, and war is profitable. Here is an article about congressmen profiting from war by investing in companies that do business with the DoD. Just a small example of how the people who are supposed to be looking out for the best interest of it's citizens are in reality are only looking out for their bottom line...

Anytime a "war" is declared look a little deeper and see who stands to make money or benefit from it...
Another example is The War on drugs. But I digress... this is off topic.

Seeing how much money Obama got out of „normal“ US citizens via his web site, one could hope that he is at least partly “owned” by the American people.

Beside that I agree with most of your statement. Sorry for being off topic.
