I'm brand new to the whole world of skydiving, BASE Jumping, and wing suits. I'm pretty clueless as to where I should start. There's a local Skydiving course, but they don't offer anything regarding wingsuits.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, so the options are pretty slim for BASE Jumping (off of mountains or cliffs). I'm willing to make a trip to Norway or Italy, if that's what it takes.

Basically I want help with figuring out where to start, keeping in mind that I'm a student so I don't exactly have a load of money. Any advice would be awesome, please help me fulfill my dream.

for a variety of reasons, we prefer NOT to mention sites by name (or even give too much identifiable information).

there is a predictable exchange involving too many folks interested in BASE:

newbie question.
blunt response from someone tired of reading the same questions posted over and over again.

newbie feels slighted by reply. gets angry and defensive. might even lash out calling folks here names.
newbie gets mocked even more.

newbie fails to realize this is NOT a dz with staff paid to answer the same questions patiently.

newbie storms out in a huff.

many of these questions could be answered by reading the "Articles" tab (next to the "Forums" tab), especially Getting Into BASE.

great examples (and possibly useful information) can be found in the following threads (most less than a year old). newbies that lurk, read, and then ask questions garner far more respect from the regular posters here.

There are objects to be had out your way just not big cliffs.

Start there. They will get you skydiving, there will be people there that wingsuit and can help you when you are ACTUALLY ready.

Alot of the info you seek will start to appear as you progress through skydiving.
