Re: [smp] Packing Riser question

So I got the canopy all folded clean, ready to stow my lines, and realize that the front risers, (bottom risers if looking down at packjob) were both flipped 180, (1 twist). I flipped them back, stowed the lines, finished packing. Will this effect the opening? I've repacked once in the past after realizing the front riser had one twist. I'm packed slider down. Thanks
OK, lets be serious.
You have the canpopy ready to linestowing. you notice that the risers are INDIVIDUALLY twisted?, or the entire 4-riser group is twisted?
as I understand the canopy and container are still in alignment, meaning you will not pack yourself a 360' line twist. (If you accidentally pack the canopy into the container 180 degrees there is no hope for you)
SO, my reccomendation would be, as long as the lines are not twisted, the clamp the risers or lay them out in the orientation ready to fold in the packtray, and stow the lines.
the only bad thing I can see about your first post description is the possibility of 'mixed' twists int he line folds (figure 8s) inside the tailpocket with individual riser twists.
I clamp my risers nose-nose above toggle stows and just below quick links to avoid problems like this. even line tension and even riser orientation.
