Jim Tyler (Base20-something) jumped from the flying bridge of the Queen Mary in Long Beach Harbor around 1981.

He static lined a Stratoflyer and landed in the water 80 feet below.

As he was preparing to jump, he overheard the tour guide in the area say "They never tell us when they are having these special events..."

I was thinking about this just a couple days ago!! Since I've been on quite a few cruises... I'm bringing my rig on the next cruise I go on... Just in caseWink It would have to be at port of course... I'm not gonna jump in the middle of the ocean, of course...

She is deep. they even try to justify it with the bulb keel in the specs. Navi is the way to fly, if your going to spend a hundred mil. Tongue

that's awesome though, I am jealous. Ill do anything to be on that load. not kidding.

Check out Lika's "Female Outlook on BASE". There are a few jumps from what looks like the transport container crane of a shipping vessel.

I don't remember if that crane is part of the boat or part of the dock next to it. I think it was part of the boat itself.
