Bridge Day '08 DVD Complete, Raw Footage Available
As you probably know, 2008 was a record-setting year for Bridge Day (longest time, most jumps, fewest injuries) and as a result, production of the video took a bit longer than expected. It was our goal to ship out copies by the end of the year, and we just missed it. The DVD is now finished. The jump-by-jump section is 217 minutes in length, and there is a 23-minute highlight reel as well. We sent masters to the manufacturer for replication last week, and we expect to have product in hand in 2-3 weeks. So we should be shipping by the last week of January. From now until then, you can still pre-order your copy at a discounted price with free shipping at http://www.jump-cuts.com/bridgeday.html. Once we start shipping them out, we'll go back to regular price plus shipping.
Many of you have been asking about raw footage, and I'm happy to tell you that the raw footage of all your jumps is now available for purchase. We'll include ALL available camera angles of ALL of your jumps - whether you made 1 jump or 8 - on a single DVD for only $30. To our knowledge, that is the same price as one digital still photo on a CD, so we think this is a good deal. In addition to playing in a standard DVD player, the disc will also contain a QuickTime file of the footage so you can import it into an editing application while preserving maximum quality. If you would like to take advantage of this, you'll need to provide your approximate jump time(s) and a photo of yourself at the exit point. You can place your order on the JumpCuts website at http://www.jump-cuts.com/bridgeday.html. The raw footage link is located to the left, under the picture of the DVD. We'll only be doing this through the end of January, and we'll be archiving the project after that, so if you'd like your raw footage, please place your order soon.
Thank you all for your patience, and be safe . . .
