Landing Wingsuit Video
Sorry if this has already appeared in this forum - I could not be stuffed searching, but it looks like the race to land a wingsuit is over. The next step is to survive the landing.

Jeb - eat your heart out! Wink

Here is the first wingsuit landing w/out parachute. Performed last year by Stoney from Zhills, FL. This is the result of shitty weather and a solid cloud deck at 2k....Enjoy the vid.

Re: [kcollier] Landing Wingsuit Video
It's not a wingsuit at all . . .

This was back in the day right before having a parachute packed into some sort of wearable container became the norm. Up until then parachutes, mostly on balloons, were packed into external containers attached to the flying machine itself.

What this fellow was attempting to do, is he designed an external wearable framework, you can't see it under the canopy, that he draped the parachute over. The idea being, once in freefall, the parachute would lift cleanly off the framework and inflate. But, it didn't work.

However, it can be said this guy is the missing link between externally mounted and wearable parachutes . . .
