wingsuit and gps
Anybody here who found a good place to put the gps so it get's good signal both at the exit and during flight? Not the back of the helmet since I do not use every jump.
I jump a V2 and the gps is wintec wtb-201. Also if anybody jump this gps, what settings/programs you recommend for wingsuit-base?

Re: [Ferry] wingsuit and gps
I usually jump in hiking-pants and while gearing up I simply put my wintec into one of the cargo pockets after it got its signal. Works pretty good for me.

Paralog works allright. It's convenient too.

I usually put it in my helmet but if I jump one of my helmets it will not fit so I wear a long sleeve shirt and stuff it up the left sleeve on the back side of my arm works perfect and I can't notice it in there as there is no pressure applied to the wingsuit in that area

I put it in an old cellphone pouch and attach it to the left lateral with a strap. It's out of the way and gets good signal.

Re: [Ferry] wingsuit and gps
I used to jump a good sized Garmin and used an elaborate set of velcro straps to secure it to my boot.

I have a Wintec also and just put it in a pocket on my wingsuit, but I've never been able to get the Wintec to log altitude, so the flight data was useless.
As far as keeping signal, the Wintec seemed to be really good no matter where I put it.

Thread drift: Can anyone tell me how to get the wintec to log paths that aren't "stuck" to the ground and make them display properly in Google Earth? I've done it with my Garmin, but the Wintec just wasn't working for me.

I did not know it would get signal through a pants and the wingsuit, but that makes it easier! I thought maybe wrist-mount but did not really like the idea.

I don't know too much about this device(yetSmile), but did you configure it to aerial modus? This is the part I have trouble with using Mac. At this website they explain how to do it http://www.paralog.net/using-gps.html.
