To put things into perspective, Sandton where kerim stayed is about 45mn from where Arie stays. I rode down from Gaborone for the week end; Arie and Gloei bent over backwards to accomodate Kerim and my BASE jumping needs... Hospitality I havn't received from anyone, anywhere.

POC, have you guys got the SA BASE #'s compiled yet???

  Regarding the hospitality; not only my place was 45 min away from their place, but also the A was 1,5 hour away from Johannesburg. And I was back to my place at 11 am, just like i had to be to cacth my fligth.(matchless effort by Arie!)

We havent mentioned that we went 3 times to the B to check the conditions(2 in the evening, 1 in the early morning) (it takes around half an hour)

We even drove around maybe an hour or more just because I said "I can have pizza" :)

Guys..! I dont have words which are enough strong to explain the hospitality and the effort for us to jump.

Since there's already a thread open, I just wanted to say thanks to all the SA base jumpers I've run into along the way for their legendary hospitality. Dan, thanks for the rashers of bacon as well

I've had a kickass time in South Africa, and will definitely be coming back here for a full-fledged BASE trip sometime in the next year or two.
