How tall are those poles on top? It's really hard to estimate height from a picture like that, without a good perspective. My guess is that it's "just" jumpable--meaning you could get a parachute open and splash down into the water.

But heck, with the little information we have, it could be totally impossible to get a canopy in that distance, or it could be that you could freefall over that road and land on it.

If it is low you can do it without a parachute.

If it is high you will need BASE specific gear.

o.k. I'm not sure how much the following will apply to you. if it does not, my apologies. it is my knee-jerk reaction to people claiming they are new...

oh, and for a variety of reasons, we prefer NOT to mention sites by name (or even give too much identifiable information).

there is a predictable exchange involving too many folks interested in BASE:

newbie question.
blunt response from someone tired of reading the same questions posted over and over again.

newbie feels slighted by reply. gets angry and defensive. might even lash out calling folks here names.
newbie gets mocked even more.

newbie fails to realize this is NOT a dz with staff paid to answer the same questions patiently.

newbie storms out in a huff.

many of these questions could be answered by reading the "Articles" tab (next to the "Forums" tab), especially Getting Into BASE.

great examples (and possibly useful information) can be found in the following threads (all less than a year old). newbies that lurk, read, and then ask questions garner far more respect from the regular posters here.

Apologies for my mistake calling the name of the location (couldn't do any harm though cause the bridge will be built like in 10 years - perhaps just at the time I might start BASE jumping.)
This was my first post here however I have been deeply interested in skydiving and BASE jumping for more than a 3 years till now and I can assure you I spent pretty much reading this and other forums hungry for information...so which category do I fall into??

no need for you to apologize. you are fine. you are correct, the bridge is NOT built.

I was just trying to prevent misunderstandings, not create them.

the bridge looks jumpable. your should learn how to base jump and maybe you can be the first off it.

There is a highway bridge in Velke Mezirici that I scoped out in June.

It is jumpable but will require canopy skillz...flik the bridge, bust a 180 and land under the bridge.

If shit goes wrong there are no outs...
