what type of sewing machine is best suited for stitching together webbing? (i'm fabricating an upperbody cest sling / harness for a pulley system for climbing antenna)

for a (do most) workhorse. get a strait stitch/zig-zag/walk-foot/reverse, combo machine. with a nice foot clearance.
A good model is Consew 146R8-1A then gear reduce it a little on the RPM and the thing is a real torque monster then.

Yea, and if you wanna be so particular about it, it's spelled wrong too. PFAFF is how it's spelled. See how that works, I even gave the answer instead of just pointing out something wrong

OP asked about a TYPE of a sewing machine. Pfaff, amongst many others makes machines suitable for harness work, and some that are not.

Same thing, more words.

should I also point out that the Consew that Ray mentions is a 146RB (B as in Boy, not 8 as in number eight) ???
