Blue Skies Gang,

After seeing Adrian's kick ass Dianese products
I looked around online for some impact shorts,
ended up buying a pair for $60 that work great!

I originally bought them for when I finally head
out to BASE jump an E... but since I had them
I figured why not try them out on some tandem
jumps, cause 10 shitty openings in a day can
take its toll on your thighs and was amazed at
how much they helped!!

So I contacted the company and told them what
I was using their products for and sniffed around
for some kind of sponsorship or discount.

Here's the deal, if some guys want some stuff
and I combine their orders I can get everyone
some break on the retail price. However, I
paid full price it was worth every penny!!

FYI - here is what I bought and what I paid:

Item: 4833998
Description: PS MBS HillBilly Butt Pads
Color: BLACK
Quantity: 1 @ $59.99

Oh, and I researched 3 different websites that sold
the same product and ended up buying from the
cheapest, so it having GREEN in the name was just
Serendipity - ha ha Cool

What are you wearing on your head, elbows, knees back and chest?

Re: [1108] Safety Gear
I have pads for each of those areas too
but none of them are anything unique.

Head - Usually a Protec, got 2 of them,
a new one from Cotton plus one I got
for 50 cents at a yard sale.

Knees - first set was $20-ish from Lowes
but then I got a set of nice articulated
knee and elbow pads slightly used on
ebay from a mountain biker.

Torso - a product originally designed for
motocross with spine protector, shoulder
pads, some chest padding, and a wrap
around thing for the midsection.

A lot of this stuff I have not jumped with yet.
Last time I went out I took the helmet, boots,
and knee pads but left the rest since it was an
antenna with a grass field, alas, being cold, dark,
and too windy for my taste we climbed down.

Oh, one last note, the cheap knee pads from Lowes
work great for impact but they can catch on rungs
when climbing an antenna or crane.

Re: [GreenMachine] Safety Gear
With regards to knee pads cathing on rungs. Either where them under your pants, or simply push them down to your shins and spin them around for the climb. Try it next time.

Hey thanks for the tip!

I think the Dainese butt guard shorts would be perfect for tandem mastering...I've also heard of a jumper getting rocks up his pooper after a wall strike so they might help you out their as well.

The North America Dainese Factory store is 2 minutes from my house. I like their downhill mountain bike helmet. Lightweight, well made, way better protection than my Protect, decent periferial vision. Just needs the visor removed spray painted matte black or flat olive drab...
