Running & Drinking
Wwarped thanks for the 411.

Six8fbird, the closest I have come to one
of these were some events I went to as a kid in
Steelton, Pennsylvania called the "
Trot-N-Brew".

There were a dozen bars located downtown and
teams of people as well as solos jogged to each
and drank 1 beer at each, some of the best was
when a group would dress up.

Filled in for a sick X-pat in Istanbul. Great course and lots of fun. That one or Luanda, Angola with a bunch of Dutch diamond buyers.

I've got a friend who's really into it in L.A.

I used to do an annual run of that type in Davis, California. I think it predated the wider culture (started sometime in the early 90's by an Ironman Triathlete in a year he didn't go to the Ironman, and always held at the same time as the Ironman). Huge fun, though. I wonder if they're still doing it?

Each year in my city there's a hashing type race where 3000 or so runners show up race four miles from the college bell tower to the nearest Krispykreme Donut shop, eat a dozen fresh donuts, & then run four miles back to the start. It's great entertainment for spectators Wink

Sounds similar to the fun of watching a bunch of guys try to keep a gallon of milk down. Hah!
