Re: [dqpacker] Jet-Pack Gorge Crossing
At the GoFast Xdays event in Rotterdam he was talking about a plan/dream he had on taking the jetpack straight up, and then deploying a canopy.

Due to the thing getting lighter with every second its on, (if I remember correctly) he sayd he could potentialy reach about 2000 ft in less than 25/30 seconds..

Re: [dqpacker] Jet-Pack Gorge Crossing
Congrats to Eric Scott and Go Fast!!!!

The Eric Scott, Go Fast Jet Pack flight was incredible. The flight across the Royal Gorge took just 21 seconds. When Eric was nearing the LZ, he was doing at least 70mph. I feared he would overshoot the landing and missile it right into the mountain. (Stupid me, Eric knew exactly what he was doing.)

Eric skillfully pitched his flight straight up over the LZ, did a little 90 right turn, slowly descended and tip toe landed it on the spot. The control he has over the jet pack is truly amazing.

Eric must have nerves of steel. It’s funny, after he landed everyone’s hands were shaking but his. Haha!

I’ve attached a couple of pics. The first is a view from the launch point, he landed by the buildings to the left of the bridge.

I’ve seen Jacob’s shots of the flight and they kick ass! He’s on the road now but may post some pic’s soon also. Thanks again for all your help Jacob!!

Have Fun!
Baz

(PS. I had hoped to upload better quality images. Any chance of bumping the 150K limit to 250-300K min?)
