He tried testing my wife's loyalty towards me. That wasn't a very cool move. I think he has an issue with women.
He's ok otherwise; pretty knowledgeable about a variety of things which to some is surprising for an American. I quite like him and get on pretty well with him.
He DOES jump.

I just looked in my logbook and in the last 5 years, I've jumped with Tom on 62 jumps in 4 countries off of 23 objects.

Tom made some jumps with us when I took his FJC a few years ago. He could have jumped more, but a lot of the time he stayed behind and packed for us so we could do back to backs.

I'm not in the cult or anything. I'm just sayin.. I jumped with him.

In 2006 during my FJC Tom made a few
jumps with us. Like the other poster said,
most of the time he packed while we hiked.

In 2007 I saw him make one jump at BD.

I have no clue who Wwarped really is.

I Have.Also he was packing alot to allow me to jump.

I jumped with Tom 2004 some 8 or 9 times. I was on his first death camp and he jumped with us on every jump we made.

I watched Tom do an intentional cutaway with a Sorcerer at the Royal Gorge Games a coupla years ago. I'll bet two things 935q(whoever you are), you would never have the balls to do that OR ever get invited to this event at all to begin with.

Do a rollover off an E, then when your canopy is flying do an intentional cutaway, freefall and deploy another canopy, then land with a smile.

Then when you've done that - which Tom has - you are 1% closer to having the balls he does.

Quit fuckin breakin the man's balls. Aiello is an encyclopedia of knowledge who was freefallin 160' cliffs in idaho while a lot of you were eating greenbeans out of your fuckin diapers. I can't think of another jumper who's been there and done that more so than him. He's also one of the few in the sport that my wife actually liked as a PERSON.

what does it matter if the mods are current or not?
for all the shit they get on here its a miracle we even have this forum. granted its 80% bullshit (such as this retarded thread) and worthless bickering but the other 20% has taught much too many.

i dont care about him personaly. the way i see it tom a is a person in high profile. lots of people will like him, lots will want him to do a floater off that 160 ft cliff. personality aside he helps more people in a week than most of us do in a year. other than wingsuiting, which would be pretty darn funny in his current shape,(round) the mans done it all. his information always deserves consideration.

so instead of hammeing these volenteer's maybe show a bit of appreciation that they do this shitty fuckin job. if you dont like them dont go out drinking or let them fuck your girlfreind. but for chissakes LET IT GO MAN!

If it was not for Tom I probably could not have taught myself how to jump. Thanx for all the great info and posted knowledge. I have not jumped with him but I hope to. Pope taught me to pack I had to slow down the high speed pack job in Continuum 2. I have made some changes since then.

The first time I met Tom he was teaching somebody he hardly knew how to pack and he wasn't charging him for it. Last time I saw him was after having dinner at his house with some of his FJC students right after he'd let me sit through his 4 day course for free, all he asked in return was that I gave him help on the course when needed, such as driving the students around. He even let me borrow his car for 2 weeks, i didn't ask for it, he just saw that I had a long way to walk to the bridge everyday and was kind enough to help me out. I only have 50 jumps so I'm still a newbie and maybe that means my opinion doesn't count in this "My dicks bigger than your dick" forum. But out of all the jumpers I have met he is by far the most knowledgeable, experienced and certainly the most helpful. I've jumped with him and he does still jump, maybe not as much as he used to but the fact that he has had two kids in the "last five years" might have been a good reason to calm down a bit. Not to mention the friends he has lost to the sport. Even if neither of the moderators jumped anymore would it matter? They both do a good job of moderating this board for little in return despite the pricks that they have to deal with.

One of my most memorable jumps was done with Monsieur Aiello over some very ancient indian ruins some years ago. He also had the decency to drive me around the South West for 3-4 days to various sites.

I've never met Tom, but when trying to get gear he sorted me out right away, i didnt even have the cash and he sent the rig without me asking; to pay when i could.
