Has anybody ever seen any thing like this before? What kind of tower is it?

It's 380' and out in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to road trip out to it to check it out but wanted to see if anybody could shed any light on it first?

we have one like it nearby. When I sent to scope it out, the bridge between the 2 towers seemed very flimsy, and the towers were quite skinny. I did not think it was worth the effort to jump it.

There is a place here in NC (NON JUMPABLE) called Voice Of America,,,they have 2 sites with dozens of towers like these all together in about 300 acres of land. It's for broadcasting US Government radio and News world wide. I don't know if this is something similar but it sure looks like it.

Yea, the VOA towers are a bit different, this doesn't appear to have the cabling in the center.

That just looks nasty...

we had one of these near Munich on a US-military base. in the immediate vicinity, the calves had (statistically significant) more deformations than elsewhere, and two fighter jets crashed close by. they closed it now, but i would not go near.

but the one in the start of the thread seems different.

I made a road trip to scope it out; evidently it takes a lot of wires to keep this thing standing.....it's got wires every 90 degrees. Anything more than 45 off and you're toast...
