Well I live in utah near slc. As of yet I dont base jump, but it has been a dream of mine for a while. Ever since I saw base jumping on tv and in videos i have wanted to do it. Every time I go on something that is tall I imagine base jumping off of it. Sadly do to bad weather and friends pushing things back I have only even done my two tandem jumps and wont be able to do my aff till spring. I ran into this site a little while ago and i must admit I almost wrote one of those "how do I get into base jumping" post's. Thankfully I work 12 hr. graveyards and can sit on my computer most of that time and have read hours and hours of information on how to get into it and any other information i could find about base jumping and dont plan on super rushing into it. Although I do plan on setting most of my skydiving training up with the goal of base jumping in mind. Sorry to tell you my life story but I wanted you to know I have done my research and that I am serious about this. It is not just something that popped into my mind and looked fun. I have actualy put years of thought into it and it is just now that I have been put in the situation mentaly and financialy to handle it in my life. To get to the point of all this I want to help out base jumpers in the area in exchange for little to no knowledge in the sport. Even just beeing there and seeing it would be an excelent payment for me doing most anything you need. well i would apreciate all criticism. Please pm me with any information you have especialy local stuff. I would also like to make it up to potato bridge to see people base jump so dates when people will be there would be awsome. thanks!

I have a hard time with this some times.

People jump the bridge on a regular basis. As long as its not to cold and the winds arent more then 30mph theres a good chance you will see some people

there was this really cool "brah" at bd who was picking on this one kid named martin, bragging about hoe hardcore he was and" brah brah brah, salt lake city brah, " this and that, and he tried to start a fight with martin, who was a smaller new to the sport type, and the brah was a stocky "brah" type just looking for a fight.

maybe you could meet him. dont remember his name,
but he informed me that static line is for pussies and he will never s/l anthnig because hes so hardcore. maybe you could ask him about how he was being a dick and a roach fell out of the ceiling and landed on his shoulder, and he didnt notice, but i was tripping balls on too much acid, so i took the roach off his shoulder, showed it to his face, ate the goddamn roach alive and chugged his 700mL of captain morgan rum, which i HATE.



sometimes you just have to put a dickhead in his place.

prime jumping time...

lot's of folks fly into SLC to go either north or south. occasionally they'll post here needing a ride. I bet you'll get a good reception if you offer them a lift. there will be several hours to talk, chances to see jumps in the daylight, and the chance to just hangout. plus, no one will be worried about revealing a less-than-legal object to an unknown person.

well i am willing to give rides to people flying in to slc. I do work nights thurs. through sat. but im off all the other days. If you do need a ride or something on days I work let me know. I will see if it is possible for me to work something out.



Also about those less-than-legal objects. I dont know if there are any do able B jumps in slc but i do have lots of connections with the slc police which could help out in sticky situations.

I am haveing the first of many Loose Cannon BASE Academy FJC's at twin this weekend. You are more than welcome to come up and watch and hang out. Who knows you might even get to jump.
