Movie Reviews
Greetings Jumpers, As some of you know I do not have cable
nor do I watch television, however I am a
very avid movie watcher and figure I would
share my opinions of some recent viewing.
NEVER BACK DOWN - Karate Kid meets Fight Club
The movie follows the usual formula, new kid gets
beat up by the bad kid, new kid learns some kind
of pugilistic skills from a teacher, new kids beats
up the bad kid and earns his respect. Oh and of
course there is the hot chick angle.
On the plus side the fights scenes are entertaining,
the stunt doubles are more than competent, and
the actor who played the bad kid had the swagger
and manical smile of Tyler Durden from Fight Club
down pretty well.
ZOMBIE STRIPPERS! - B grade movie, B+ T & A
Wacky movie with two plotlines: one has to do with
some government experiements by the 3rd Bush
administration to support their 8 or 9 current wars.
The virus escapes the lab and infests an illegal strip
club run by Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) where
Jenna Jameson and other augmented babes are
infected, which works to crank up their routines.
The opening farce is humorous and well done and
some of the ladies are hot if you like barbie style
bodies. Overall entertaining.
HANK & MIKE - Elf meets Bad Santa but Easter
Cute and humorous buddy movie about two easter
bunnies who get laid off, try other jobs, and end up
returning to their vocation.
You must be cool enough to understand the concept
of "suspension of disbelieve" to enjoy since all of the
Easter Bunnies are always dressed in their outfits and
no one bats an eye. There are some funny scenes!
RED BELT - Ghost Dog meets Peaceful Warrior
A talented martial artist runs a school in LA and has
always avoided competitions because they weaken a
fighter due to the artificial engagement. However,
through some accidents and double crosses he is
reluctantly forced into a tournament, drops out,
and then proceeds to really kick some ass.
Very good movie for all fighters training/learning a
martial art or those couch potatoes who believe
UFC and MMA are the total real deal.
