S/L with nothing to tie to?
There is a "S" that I was looking at yesterday and I noticed that there is nothing to tie to for a S/L. There is no rail, pipe, or anything. Just a concrete barrier from one end to the other. Do any of you have any ideas. I dont want to PCA it 'cause of the location leaving a person in the middle of the bridge that no one is ever seen walking on. Im looking to be quick, quiet, and leave no trace.

Perhaps the barriers have forklift notches/cutouts near the bottom that ease placing. You could have a rope go through one of those.

If it's a road bridge, then you can always have somebody pull off and PCA you while the view is obstructed by the car, OR tie off to a car and as soon as you go, the car can go.

leave a concrete block on the inside of the concrete barrier. its not really suspicious, and you can just go grab it after getaway.

If the gaps between the barrier segments are big enough, you can pass a rope through one of the gaps and tie it to an anchor (maybe like a 1' section of a 2 by 4) and leave that on the road side. Tie your static line to the other end of the rope and you ough to be good to go.

Another way to go would be to tie off your anchor to the frame of your car. If you had that much time though, you might as well just have someone pca you.

Tie a rope between your front and rear passenger windows, drive up, have a pre-rigged static line tied to a quickdraw, clip into the rope and jump, car drives off... 30 seconds max. method works well.

Just drill in a bolt and then remove the hangar afterwards. It'll still be there later, and very unnoticed.

Ditto, except I would use a pick up truck
so you could be in the back, rigged & ready.

I never thought about a car/ quick draw.

Good ideas, thank.

I've used a Prusik knot on a vertical cable, a runner with biner tied to frame of car, and a cam. All worked very well.
