Leaving "things" in your pack job
I have a question on picture #2

How the hell do you pack your buddy, who was helping you because you forgot your clamps somewhere, into your rig with out noticing it?

Don't forget to count your tools & buddies!

BTW, the photographer is a base jumper and she jumped at the end of the day. I'd like to see the sequence of pics for that jump.....

Re: [diablopilot] Leaving "things" in your pack job
Wrong. BASE jumping is about the easiest sport in the world UNTIL something goes wrong. No matter how much you try to avoid it something will go wrong on one of your BASE jumps if you do it long enough.

The guys in the three way deserve a lot of credit for handling the situation well. The guy who was under canopy managed to steer his barely functional parachute to a safe water landing. The guy who went through the canopy regained situational awareness immediately, got on his belly, found the third jumper, waited for him to pitch, and only then pitched himself. Had either of them panicked or gone "deer in the headlights" the outcome would have been much worse.

The bag of dog food had a cliff strike at the easiest object in the world on its first jump.
