I've been to Bridge Day the last 2 years and just watched. This will be my first year jumping there. I've been lurking on here for a while now trying to learn everything I can, and have been working very close with a great mentor. I'm so excited that I can't wait and scared shitless all at the same time. This is gonna be great.

The only character I want my rig to have is nice, symmetric packing creases, a grass stain here and there, and MAYBE a tiny grease spot from GFG.

Friday is my only day off!

I partied pretty hard with my Epson 2200 printer for the last three nights and we had tons of fun printing jumper badges. I'm averaging about 3 hours/night of sleep this week. And this morning, I shared a lovely exchange of angry emails with a disgruntled reporter who didn't like it when I pointed out an error in her BD article. Talk about fun. PARTY!

So i was down in fayetteville this weekend and saturday they had every cop this side of the mississippi out there 19 was shut down and everything. So i naturally think to myself great someone thought they could get away with a late afternoon dayblaze the weekend before BD

I come to find out later that a muslim family decided to park there cars, walk out on the bridge and take some pictures. I dont think they could have picked a better day!

A few months ago, I was about 1/4 mile from the NRGB taking pictures of the vendor booth spots we wanted to rent this year. Of course, a cop pulled up behind me to question why I was there. I broke no laws. Being the BD BASE Coordinator, I let him know why I was there and all was well. But the fact they're harassing people who aren't even on the bridge is a bit extreme.....

being that Muslim is not a race, thus this is not racial profiling.

however having people walk out to a bridge that has very clear signs about no-pedestrian traffic - a week prior to BD event - the response was adequate in my opinion and with the fact you give.

I'm just as excited, even though I don't jump! I went last year and I'll be back for more shenanigans ... I got so excited I looked back at all the stuff I filmed last year ...

I hear that. I can't wait to make my 5 mile hike down into the gorge just to watch from the landing zone.

My body will not be too thrilled, though, come Sunday morning. That walk back out is brutal! If any of you see a 20-something girl walking out of there in VT Hokie apparel and have some extra room, a lift would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, i knew the dangers when lending it out though and the guy has offered to get it fixed ASAP so i can't be too mad.

BASE386, the famous Chestnut has offered to let me borrow his Mojo240 which i might have to take him up on to get back in the air.

there was definitely a lot more bullshit this year. but, in retrospect, i did get 10 jumps BEFORE saturday.

Fines divided by # of jumps =$26.50 jump.

Still cheaper than being GC, though.
