With this someone could break the record for both highest skydive and highest base jump:

Now you know the bitch of the thing is you could only jump from part way up. In the upper section centrifical force is stronger then gravity and it would just throw you into orbit if you steped off.

Like the X planes and some of there predisesors you'll need dual controles. Reaction jets for the orbital phase of your flight and specal high temp wing and leading edge fabric for the reentery. You might have to have a helmit made of ablative matereal. You'll need it on the leading edge too. Maybe EG could build it for you.

For the X-15 and suborbital planes, we call the controls all over the plane in orbit "puffers", which release gas to maintain an orientation. Heating problems can be averted with technologies such as http://www.psicorp.com/...sitestructures.shtml

Core competencies include development and production of durable structural components that operate at temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 5000oF in highly corrosive environments. Our current infrastructure enables the design and production of complex shape ceramic and polymer matrix components greater than ten feet in length. Our cross disciplinary staff consists of chemists, physicists, materials scientists and mechanical engineers who also are developing in situ lifetime health monitors, rapid low-cost laser machining, high temperature sensors, and structural insulating technologies.
