Needing gear for bridge day this year, preferably 245-300ish sized canopy. There are supposed to be rentals available at the bridge somewhere, but i've also heard that it gets scarce fast.

I got a 300ft canopy you can
rent or buy for real cheap $300
but you'd still need a container.

FYI - this NOT a BASE specific canopy!!
It is a Falcon 300, 9 cell, dacron lines,
reinforced ribs, was drop tested, and
TSO'd to be a reserve BUT does not
have a tail pocket. Fine for BD but
not good for any technical jumps.

Check with Apex as they may still have some rental gear left.

But if worse comes to worse I've got an almost new Velcro Reactor rig I'll lend you (no canopy) if you're willing to jump a 220-ish canopy. I don't know how experienced you but I'd rather you go ahead and put it in the water.

I'm averaged sized. Let me know and I'll ship it to you. You ship it back to me after Bridge Day. I'm in California.

Actually, Nick's a lot cooler than most of you know. For the last several years, he bought a Bridge Day jump pass for me to give away to some needy soul. Maybe one of these days I'll be passing through California and Nick/I can sit down for a long, relaxing chat - away from the chaos of exit points and Bridge Day craziness.

Thanks Nick. Yes, very very cool. I still need to find a canopy that'd fit that. I have about 600 skydives on canopies that are much smaller, so the size wouldn't bother me at all. Plus, i have several 7-cell jumps as well.
If anyone has a canopy that'd fit that, i would love to hear about it!
I'll let you know if i can find a canopy.

I will tell you this coming from a velo 103 Pilot things get real fast down in that canyon under my Troll 265. Don't get over confident.

Ideally, what i would like is something in the 250 to 300 sq ft range. My feelers are out. anyone? anyone? Buehler?

I have some old skydiving canopy
that is around 220 to 240, a raider
I think. No good for normal BASE
but just fine for a water landing.

Was not trying to be a smart ass as it may have come across that way. Just remember my first BASE jump at bridge day things get real fast real quick under giant poofy 7 cell BASE canopies. You will find a rig and canopy.

I agree with helmut, I jump a sabre 150 loaded 1.7 and consider myself a decent pilot. I jumped a 285 with apex on my fjc at perrine, geting under an unfamiliar canopy at sub300' feels every bit as fast as any skydive...

anyone that is silly enough to show up to bridge day, still without a rig, i may be willing to hook you up with a rig.
of course, you'll have to be nice to me... no guarantees.
