Registered for Bridge Day but not going?
Are you registered for Bridge Day (group 1 or 2) and not able to attend? Let me know, I'll buy your pass from you.

I'm going out on a limb here; I'm not even sure this is possible to do. Never hurts to ask the question right?

BRIDGE DAY REFUNDS, EVENT POLICIES:

Full refunds will be provided to jumpers if they fail the Bridge Day background check performed in early September. Since 2002, no one has failed the background check.
Full refunds will be provided to jumpers who found out they're being deployed by the military.
In the event of the cancellation of the BASE Gear Trade Show, full refunds will be provided to those who purchased vendor booths. No refunds will be provided for voluntary cancellations or a failure to appear at the event.
No refunds will be provided to registrants who voluntarily cancel their jump slots, first jump training courses, or introductory training courses. No refunds will be provided if weather delays or cancels jumping, if you don't show up for Bridge Day, if you are unable to jump due to slow lines or other circumstances, if you are scared and/or refuse to jump on Bridge Day for any reason, or if Bridge Day is cancelled prior to September 1.
If Bridge Day is cancelled prior to September 1, refunds less expenses will be provided to jumpers who send us a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Jump passes are not transferable and credit will not be provided if you cannot attend Bridge Day.
If you fail to bring your own 2x2 photo for your ID badge, we will have a staff photographer available to take your photo for a $15 fee.
Vertical Visions reserves the right to revoke your jump pass and provide a full refund at any time, for any reason. Common reasons include, but are not limited to: Lying on your application to jump or rent gear, a history of unsafe skydives or BASE jumps, drug or alcohol use during onsite registration or Bridge Day, failure to meet jumper requirements, a history of lawsuits filed against anyone in the parachute industry, etc.
We will charge jumpers a $50 late fee if they fail to show up for jumper onsite registration at the Holiday Inn in Fayetteville, WV by 5pm EDT on the day prior to Bridge Day (Friday). If you require us to take your photo for your ID badge, there will be an additional $15 charge. No exceptions. These fees are necessary to deter late onsite registrations, as we are always VERY busy on Friday night and Bridge Day morning. If you think you might arrive late, please take advantage of our late arrival option to avoid the late fee.

I don't like too many rules, but we have to have them at BD. A few years back, the cool thing to do was for jumpers to check the weather a few days before BD. If the forecast was bad, they demanded a refund.

As a courtesy, we also permitted jumpers to transfer passes. Then jump passes were bought and traded so much that I couldn't keep up with ID badges and databases. We were inundated with changes at the event.

So, don't buy a jump pass unless you plan on attending. We've got a very small number of passes available at http://www.bridgeday.info

PS. None of our rules are set in stone and we'll make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Thanks for a cool reply, especially the PS. I do understand the shit you're going through to keep BD going and please all the 'authorities' at the same time.

Having jumped in '83 (my first base jump and no rules) and again in '99 (with only a pilot chute size rule), my reply was kind of a knee jerk reaction.

Be cool to the good folks and stick it to the uncool folks. Wink

Enjoy BD! I'm over here in Korea jonesen for any kind of jump. We don't even have a simple rope swing over a deep river or pond here! Only para-gliding, which for an old CRW dog like me is like kissing through plastic. Frown

I noticed the policy for the first time that military deployments are now an approved reason for refund... Thank you! I think that is a wonderful decision and commend all the bridge day folks for considering that.
