Dear Jupija,

Hej jupija, I think that the buliding in bosnia was jumped early this year and the bridge in montenegro in summer 2002. As I know both jumps where done without spray.

Re: [jupija] BASE ethic
hello,
looks like an almost all slovenian thread! so about 50% of slovenian jumpers don't agree with what happened here, the other half are out jumping.

the gayness factor of this jump was super high, maybe among the highest. the site is cool just the jump factor was super gay. but the slo-mo on the walk across the bridge was amazing, damn i wish i had style.

cedric may i suggest that you go and clean that shit up.

enjoy,

luka

Re: [jupija] BASE ethic
I met that guy in Poland on one Redbull event.
He said that he is realy expirence BASE jumper etc.
I ask him about one antenna near Bruksel and he said that he has more than 300 jumps from that one (with 4 platforms).
Anyway he was there for stunt and BASE jump from helicopter.
I try to be polite and ask him if he wants to go and jump something around but he didn't want to join.
He is not nice sponsored guy like Uli.
That's his way of promoting him... which sucks.

Maybe it was just for video and he clean it.
Spraying ground and making X there was realy dump... he can easy take something and just put it there.

Next time when i will met him i will try to spray on him ;-)

Guys go there and check it.
If this is still there piss on it and record it ;-)

Maybe someone should contact RedBull and tell them that this is not the way of promotin. Better they can make project like last one on Elbrus with Valeri. But probably it's not something for him.
Maybe he is not enought smart and he don'd know that he shouldn't do this... so maybe someone who is teling him what to do should change his behaviors.

He told me it was for the production, and it was cleaned off right after they finished!

Re: [434] BASE ethic
434- of course he told you that, what else the answer can be! Can you imagine such ''model'' with the cleaning accessories after such high stress jump?!

.....I was passing that bridge next day BTW.

''Cederic was here'' or ''X'' mark at the bottom shows ignorance and pathetic behavior. Please keep such behavior for your house, rest room and garden!!!

I would like to see Red Bull authorities in the future to take care of their ''models'' as some of them really have the behavior problem.
Maybe manual ''How to behave on Out Door Sport '' would be great start, followed by couple of months school in case some have problem with passing exams...

All those ''project'', shows and stories about so average accomplishments like jumping that average bridge are so pathetic! Regardless being at the object first, second or last, such stunts can be done with respect to the nature, environment and all community.

To make me clear!
I am not against RB as company nor the commercials. I am not agains RB athletes either! I know many great guys who are RB athletes, and some truly are example how to behave.
Unfortunately and sadly, you Cederic is not on that list

For the end, I advice you to cool down and stop follow the ''great'' foots of another RB stunt man # 502.

Re: [434] BASE ethic
all this talk about the great athlete made take a closer look.
http://www.cedricdumont.com/

the word project really sticks out. wow. everyone and their fucking projects. this is not a project. this is a before shit jump. because you have jumped a slider up object and jumped it slider down. this is what normal/average/bellow average beginners do to take a shit after the jump. translation: as to pack the shit a bit lower to facilitate defication.

Stay tuned for my website, you'll see pics and video of that jump all over itCrazy

Well at least this dudes website isn't quit as lame as good ol' FelixUnimpressed

Re: [robibird] BASE ethic
I think that the video in question is one of the saddest and most pathetic things I have seen lately, but I'm sure Cedric couldn't care less about what we think here.

However, I see in various pictures that Cedric is jumping a V3 and a rig built by Morpheus.

I’m sorry to single you out here Robi, and am not implying that you are in any way responsible for this, but you are in the best position to know: does business from Red Bull represent a significant portion of Phoenix-Fly's or Morpheus’ income?

If the bad apples giving RB a bad name won't listen to any of us "commoners", perhaps peer pressure from WITHIN the RB "family" would help, especially from the members who DO play nice with us commoners and surely outnumber the ones that don’t. I am well aware that refusing to sell gear to ANYONE associated with RB also penalizes the people on the RB team who happily follow the generally accepted and fairly simple ethical and behavioral guidelines of our sport, but if the entire RB team found themselves in a situation where their favorite gear suppliers no longer wanted to deal with them, it is likely that the ones who do play nice would apply pressure to the ones that don’t play nice, and if necessary, speak with the appropriate people in RB management to rectify the situation one way or another.

I don’t have all of the answers, I’m just throwing thoughts out here. The downside of this idea is that it forces the responsibility onto our equipment manufacturers. They didn’t ask for the responsibility, and it’s not really fair to force it on them. RB may very well represent a significant income stream for the equipment manufacturers, so it is very possible, and even very likely that not all manufacturers would cooperate in the “trade sanction”, which forces a choice between ethics and income, in a very small market.

Re: [swilson] BASE ethic
I make gear for people...and what logos they put on it is their own business, as sponsoring is something people get...
PF isn't sponsored or payd by RedBull..athlets are ( i.e. Cedric ), and if he/they orders a suit with logos, thats his/their orders...his/ their money
RB not paying PF or Morpheus, or FlyYourBody or whatever....
When peple get a new suit, rig, car, house, plane or children...its up to the owners how to use it...even though that may sometimes go against other peoples views, wishes and hopes....
Shortcut
Re: [robibird] BASE ethic
Thanks for the clarification Robi, I have to admit I had no idea how the purchasing process worked with them, whether the gear was purchased directly by RB, or whether the individual member purchased it themselves.

I was NOT trying to suggest that PF was paid or sponsored by RB or its associates, for anything other than the equipment you produce. I know better than that...Smile

Re: [jupija] BASE ethic
Part of the BASE Spirit I mention in my notes to all new BASE awardees, is reflected in Carl Boenish's words on the back of the BASE card. It's to do harm to no man. Carl always said to take only memories, and leave only footprints. Try to spread that ethic.

Don't worry Eli, there a loads of nice belgians too. Not to say that Cedric is not a nice guy, but he just likes to be in front of a camera too much (look at ME, ME, ME) and takes the dotCOM too commercial. Of course, that is just me, me, me.

Just hire a TV crew to film it or offer it as stock footage to Redbull. You should also make sure you dayblaze that bitch and get bailed out. It will increase your image 10 fold.

Re: [Ronald] BASE ethic
Thanks Ronald. I just think that his actions are absolutely uncalled for. I'm definitely no basejumper (just a noob skydiver with some 270 jumps), but I for one would think that when you go jump a site, that you treat it with respect to nature and environnement and leave the object in the same way it was when you arrived. And even if he cleaned up his shit after his jump, what's the point of tagging that bridge then? Just my thoughts...
