Short of the HBO series 'From the Earth to the Moon' the new film 'Man on Wire' is the best documentary I have ever seen. and I don't mean jus the production quality, and that stuff. The story is absolutely beautiful. true amazing parallels.

the planning, entrance stories, access, faking IDs, etc. all perfect.

my last 6 years of walking highlines/lowlines made this hit close to home. and there will be a demo going on at the 2008 Royal Gorge GoFast! games by myself and a few friends that are much MUCH better at walking a highline than me.

I thought it was a really good movie. That being said I wonder if it was really worth the price that was paid. It seemed his best friend was really hurt that he dissed them after the stunt. They don't seem to be friends now. Also, he totally fucked over his girlfriend after it too.
He seemed like a likable guy but very selfish.

Nonetheless, a great accomplishment.

I agree that was kinda bad, but really, it was the end of the line for him. the way I saw it was he had just done something that defined his life, and no one will ever be able to touch that. I'm not really defending him, just trying to see it from his point of view.

All I can say is WOW!! It is a must see
for all Artists, Performers & Parachutists!

Oh, and you are right on about the parallels
between BASE jumping urban objects and the
things him and his crew did to gain access.
