Re: [GreenMachine] E in the East Coast
I need my E also, lets just say i hate Ohio right now.

Anyone know the closest E around here? I know of one in Indiana but apparently its low, exit point sucks and the landing area is worse.

Re: [avenfoto] E in the East Coast
Next time a new method of safer rigging comes along and you see it online, posted by someone you can't use it. Too easy that way, you have to walk the ends of the earth to figure it out yourself instead of utilizing a tool such as the internet.

Re: [bmsbase] E in the East Coast
Not as impressive as Yuri's delays but this 'little' beauty in NC offers some nice jumps!
Blaine, you'll love the open field to set your chopper down both very near the exit point and only a five minute hike from the LZ! The owners of the land said they are open to the idea about having a BASE boogie as long as the heli isn't running all night long and we don't have over 25 people. Get up with me so I can give you the info and we can get this thing rolling...Smile

The Virginia E helped qualify Adam Filipino for Virginia BASE #1 back in the late 1980s.

Re: [460] E in the East Coast
It shows BASE is still working on some subsistence level. There's a lot of people who've known about that site for a very long time. There is still hope . . . Wink

Re: [milkflyrockclimb] E in the East Coast
I'm curious, did you WANT to attract attention to this site?

is it helpful to publicize it?

(there was no site naming, but why not quietly enjoy it with your local crew?)

Re: [wwarped] E in the East Coast
thats right, there was no site naming. i honestly just didnt expect anyone else to know what i was talking about so i posted online

but in hindsight i should have kept it more quiet, i didnt expect this much reaction and for that i apologize. its been done before anyway and is way out of my league as it turns out, so i'll leave it to the experts

sorry for getting the hopes up

no need to apologize. people get pumped and excited in BASE. naturally, they wish to share.

problems arise when folks compromise sites they THINK they discovered. rarely is it intentional, but attention frequently attracts careless individuals.

subtlety has served many in this sport well. it takes restraint and discipline, but may let you jump a long time.
