How many people are there who ever made a BASE jump? Still living or not, take your pick. I am not trying to calculate the risk of going in, or do anything scientific with this number - I am just curious. What is your guess?

total world population - # people who never base jumped = # of people who have.

99.9999 percent of all the people in the world have never made a BASE jump.

So it's okay to feel special . . . as long as you don't let it go to your head and hawk it like a teenage swill drink.

That would be pretty close to it. NG's stat is about 1 per million. With 6 billion people on the planet there'd need to be around 6000 who at some point in their life have made a base jump. I'd say this is within an order of magnitude i.e x 10 error (range-600-60, 000).

I've made a few BASE jumps. That's one person for your head count, I know a few others.
