New parachuting study
An informative study from the British Medical Journal, dating back to 2003, has recently come to my attention. Though the study examines parachuting in general, I think its results are particularly relevant to those using single parachute systems, so I figured I'd post it here.

Yeah right...I don't buy that one bit. Next thing they're going to say is that Dihydrogen Monoxide will help reduce the chance of death during times of dehydration.

Haha, glad to see someone found this. For those who are wondering, this article was written to criticize "evidence based medicine" as to say that the medical community should not do anything that hasnt gone through randomized control studies with tons of private, usually pharmaceutical company, funds. Aka, no one ever did a randomized control to see if parachutes prevent injuries vs non parachutes, so we cant really conclude anythign or make a recommendation. Theres been a lot of really good presentations based on this article.
