You need to watch your fucking mouth dude, Maggot was something to this sport and you are pissing off a lot of people by what your doing. And Sangi, this is not the way to get into the sport.

I'm kinda thinking taking it slow now, because I'm really having a blast skydiving and there are so many things I haven't done there yet (learning SF, HD and swooping, wingsuit flight).

Thing is I really get exited fast and I'm really spontaneous, when I got into thinking of base and started reading/watching about it I was like "damn it I wanna do this asap!". I still want to do base, but I'm thinking of taking it slowly, by simply enjoying and doing more skydiving. Ha even in skydiving I angry my colleagues enough, doing low hookturns and doing long huge spirals with front risers, but I love it, it's a lot of fun, but they still tell me I'll get hurt or die doing that.

I still think that base is the closest thing I'll get to flight (thats my dream as all of yours, hanggliding is not an option - not enough adrenaline, but I might consider that someday if I had the time and money for it) and base will remain on my "MUST DO" list.

Sorry if I came here a bit of childish and immature, I just get too exited and in a rush a lot times...

I was where you are, like four years ago, and have just now made my first base jump and am still plenty ignorant. I climbed towers with my alti, checked winds, speculated on how to exit, etc. All of that is for naught without proper training. Proceed slowly. This advice isn't given because base jumpers are trying to exclude you. Even though folks don't know you, we don't want your excitement lead you to make a foolish decision which could get you hurt or killed. Look at it like this, the earth will be around to jump from in a couple of years, it's not going anywhere man.

Honestly, we all need to be able to step away from a computer for a few hours, or days. Moderation is all done on a volunteer basis, and it's unrealistic to expect anyone to babysit 24/7.

I've now disabled the new johan42O login (that's johan-four-two-capital O), as well as the old johan420 (that's four-two-zero) login.

I've already banned his original IP address (which appears to be a residential high speed connection in Oslo).

He's now posting from a public access point in Switzerland.

If there's anyone in the Interlaken area who wants to help me sort out who he is, send me a PM.

Sangi is probably a different person, posting from a different IP address that is thousands of miles away.

You may want us to rush to judgment on new users, but honestly, for everyone asking for that there is likely to be someone else griping about the moderators being too heavy handed.

as Tom stated, I was away from my pc. my job does not always permit constant access.

personally, I like the self-regulatory nature of the sport, including posts in this thread. I welcome help in keeping things from getting out of hand.

(unfortunately, there is no firm rule against being annoying.)
