Alor Setar and Penang
The Alor Setar and Penang parts of KL Tower International BASE Jump Merdeka Circuit 2008 have been completed. We had 3 fun days of jumping at Alor Setar Tower. The weather was quite good with wind only slowing us down for part of one day. On the final day there we were joined by and an Australian jumper and a Norwegian jumper.
Between Alor Setar and our next building in Penang I did a quick trip to Thailand to sample the cliffs in the BASE paradise there. I was fortunate enough into run into 3 jumpers from USA that would be joining us in Penang. Perfect weather, wonderful jumps and lot of other fun activities to do there.
In Penang we had more international jumpers from Australia, France, Japan and USA join us. Again the weather was perfect all day for a very enjoyable day of jumping. I complete my 100th building jump for the trip already even though I am trying to slow down and relax a bit more this year.
This coming weekend we have the main event at KL Tower and also at Menara Telekom Malaysia (aka Shark Fin building) on Sunday morning. I look forward to seeing more jumpers in KL.
