Re: [kusgra] packing 180's

any sage advice (or previous threads) on packing 180's at the bridge? I'm told its as easy as flipping the cacooned canopy just before folding it into the container, and that its better training than doing floater exits facing the bridge which is what I've done before.
Being somewhat paranoid I wonder if there are any big cautions about this (ie be sure you don't <blank> or you'll die for sure!)
Thanks
i tried that a couple years ago there. it was a short trip, and over a mere 25-30 jumps i got the 'best' off-headings by twisting 180s or 360s into the lines before putting them into the tailpocket. i believe another person tried putting multiple line twists in, and in at least one case, the line twists were so bad, the risers forced his chin onto his chest until he kicked out of them! but he can speak for that himself if he wants

i tried 3-4 line twists only once and they were pretty straightforward to kick out of, but i decided i didn't really feel like doing that again. my ugliest asymmetric packjobs seemed to yield up to nearly 90 deg off heading, but nothing worse. of course i should try 250-300 pack jobs like that, instead of 25-30. that was on a dagger 278 in a warlock btw. with about 100 jumps on this setup my worst off-headings have been from crosswinds, so if i wanted to get a bad offheading i might try a side floater when the wind is up/down the canyon??
I'm an infrequent jumper, not trying to offer advice, and i wouldn't make any safety inferences on this. just thinking out loud here... i learned more about packing from it, particularly from the other jumpers who were kind enough to stop and offer advice, than i did about correcting off-headings.
