BASE INFO
I have to admit I've never BASE jumped, but I'm a writer living in New Orleans working on a story about BASE jumping for a local publication called Health & Fitness. The magazine features a different outdoor sport each month. So, with a deadline of August 29th, I'm looking for any advice on where to find some experienced base jumpers... ideally, I like to use sources in the New Orleans area, but I'm assuming that for an activity like this there may not be an active community here. Can anyone give me some assistance? Send me an e-mail with your experience, etc. and any comments you may have. I'm trying to learn as much as possible about this sport and hopefully talk to some people with an expert understanding the sport. My e-mail is tjleggett@hotmail.com. The magazine can be found at www.healthfitnessmag.com.

Re: [tleggett] BASE INFO
Maybe I can help. I was the jumper who first jumped in N.O. in 1989.
One Shell Square, Canal place, WTC at the foot of Canal street. Also GNOMRBII2, The Gondola. The Capitol in B.R. Etc.
I live in Germany at the moment and am still an active jumper.
Let me know. send me a PM if no one wants to help.
Take care,
