General BASE

Shortcut
Ontario, Canada
Hi everyone. hope to get into base in the next few years. gonna start with skydiving i guess to get at least the recommended 200 before getting into base. (although i would much just rather get into base right away, with the proper training of course.) but i guess its better to start from the ground up. (no pun intended)

anyways, just wondering if there are any jumpers in ontario, mainly in the GTA. and where do you jump?
i know there are a few good antenna to jump.

Re: [Down_Time] Ontario, Canada
There are a few jumpers around that area. Head to one of the DZ's around you and start jumping, take a first jump course and enjoy skydiving. Lots of good people at all those dropzones. Stick around after your jumps for beer light and get to know them..

However, I wouldn't recommend finishing your first jump course and immediately start asking people to teach you to base. Let them get to know you first, then mention your interest.

Most will probably tell you to get a couple hundred jumps, and go to bridge day. (100 is the min. they will let you jump there with). It will be a good first jump to determine if base is really what you want.

Re: [punkd] Ontario, Canada
i intend to take the first jump course. hopefully next month. i would have doe it last year but money was a bit tight. started a new job a few months ago so money isn't the issue, now its to get time off from work. haha.

although i am just itching to start base jumping, i do know not to rush in with out the proper training. i have no problem with that. i want to know everything there is to know before i even think about my first jump.

hopefully i can jump with some of you all in a few years.

later.
