Colorado Canyon Boogie
Current Skydiving Mag article quoted that jumpers found a nice new exit point and a boogie was held there recently. However, that site was jumped many times years ago. It was where Jon Bowlin died unfortunately, in spring 1993. J.D. Walker (BASE 37) found the site. He did a jump there, got footage of it, and formed the basis of the extreme energy drink movement that is thriving today through his Los Angeles/Hollywood contacts.

Great cliff and outside the NPS jurisdiction. JD had been there before and I joined him and others on a trip when Joy and I lived in Phoenix . Several of us made a nice trip in 91, It is true that as far as I know, JD or a buddy of his found this one in 90 or 91. I wish Jimmy and Marta all the best on this one. It's a nice site.

Rick, you're being your old cool self by mentioning that maybe a buddy of J.D.'s found it. I didn't know. Cheers for the good vibes man.

See ya!

First, no one was killed at this exit point! Jon Bowlin and J.D. Walker where jumping 6 miles upstream of this location when there accident occured. Yes, J.D. Walker and others did make many trips into the canyon in late 80's and early 90's, but this exit point was not jumped during that time. The Little Colorado River is 60 miles long between Cameron, Arizona and the Grand Canyons. Its not a small play ground!
