when you route the white loop through the line, the ring, then the toggle........

anyone ever had a toggle "stick" or lock in place because the ring puts a shitload of tension on the white loop that your toggle goes through?, thus pinching your toggle to where you cant pull it out?

hopefully that made sense. im talking about slider down of course

ive heard from some people that using that ring is not necessary. on slider down jumps what could be the outcome of not routing the white loop through the ring, simply through the line and then stowing the toggle?

Only problem I've ever had with running my toggles the way you describe is I missed my PC once.

When routed through the ring, the tension on the white loop during deployment keeps the toggle tight against the riser, keeping it more secure. When not routed through the ring, the tension may have enough tangential component to bend the toggle's tip and pry it out of its keeper.

and dropped toggles REALLY suck. unless your jumping someplace with infinite LZs

Yah, mark is fun to jump with, just be careful watching him from exit point, you might get hit in the face with his PC, but they same thing has been known to happen with Jay too.

The method you are describing would make a blown (lost) toggle more likely.

The ring probably makes the toggle _less_ likely to hang up, as well as less likely to be lost.
