Re: [base283] Big mesh PC's. Advantage/Disadvantage
My preference goes for small mesh for all PC's; except for handheld 48".

I don't really like the big mesh since it has a slight tendancy to entangle with small stuff like blade of grass or small branches.

The small mesh deform less under tension; thus keeping a better PC shape when inflated. There's only two axis of deformation (bias) which are reinforced. It feels really soft and strong. There might be a marginal loss of drag due to the lower porosity of the small mesh VS big mesh, but I don't think you can even mesure it; besides you can compensate it by upsizing your PC.

There's virtually no difference in inflation time on any delay > 2s, that's why I would still prefer big mesh for a HH 48 setup, but it's just a matter of perfectionism.

For the record, Atair makes really great small mesh PC's.

Yeah, my 36 ZP A/V from Morpheus is small mesh. I only use it for (planned) delays of 8 seconds or more.
