Picture of L-Bars
Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to BASE, just did my first two jumps. I was just wonderung about something I read in the description of a few baserigs, the l-bars. After a bit of research I found out what they are for, but I never saw them. Has anyone a picture of those l-bars?

Thx, Jan

For what it is worth... the only time
I have seen L-bars in the field it has
been on a tandem rig.

Thanks, I think I have seen those before on an old round canopy harness.

Re: [GreenMachine] Picture of L-Bars
I have seen them used to adjust the main harness size before. I bought an old skydiving rig call a sweet hog that had a pair of them on each side of the main lift web below the handles. The harness was too long for the previous owner so he put a pair of them on each side to shorten the main lift web.

Sorry I don't have a picture of it.

... Or a pilot bailout rig round canopy - whereas that canopy might make a good water canopy for alternative parachute sports.

They are used to attach the lines to the risers on my old Para-commander.

U should get out in the field a little more.Tongue
L-Bars are out there for sure!
I've seen them more in Europe. But over the years in the States as well.
And yes I use them.Wink
Some just have integrated riser to the harness.
I like L-Bars because if you have to replace your risers you just have to unscrew the riser from the L-Bar, but the integrated requires major sergury to the harne$$.Pirate
L-Bars I believe are a lot safer than the standard 3ring system.
With the exception of H2O landing's or any type of cut-away situation. Just talking about gear integrity.Smile

You are right...so was that an invite?

Yeah I got integrated risers on my new rig
knowing that it would cost more to replace
and precludes cutting away but after hearing
how so many people lock off their 3 rings I
felt better/safer with this choice.
