TV stations changing to digital signal
The thought has crossed my mind that once the TV stations change over to a digital signal and stop broadcasting via VHF and UHF the towers will be safer. Correct me if I'm wrong; A digital broadcast uses less power and isn't as dangerous as VHF and UHF. Any input from someone with experience in this field would be appreciated.

Re: [willh] TV stations changing to digital signal
In North America, DTV (or ATSC) broadcasts will still use VHF low band (44 through 88 mhz) and VHF high band (174 through 216 mhz) transmissions.

Just because they are going digital, doesn't necessarily mean they won't be blasting the radio signal. DTV brings more bandwidth for the broadcaster and that's about it.
