This Memorial day Weekend the TFBA is asking for a little help to clean up the canyon. We will be providing trash bags and asking jumpers to pick up some trash as they hike in, out, or wander aimlessly around the canyon.

This is just one of our efforts to show our appreciation to the only community in the country that truly supports BASE. If you enjoy your trips to TF give a hand in keeping our image and the canyon clean.

A few years ago Flummi and I decided to spend a day jumping with a grocery bag in our pockets to clean up the trail on climbout. At the end of 4 jumps and 4 hikes, we managed to fill up an entire trash can up at the visitor center. I'm sure with a decent sized contingent of jumpers you guys could make a very significant dent in the litter/pollution going on in the canyon.

Maybe someone could look into writing an article on TFBA and their clean up and beautification efforts in the valley for the local newspaper?


On another note: What about TFBA adopting a section of highway? There is tons of "easy" stuff we can do to promote BASE in a positive light.

The easiest, or hardest if you please, thing to do is stay unhurt...

why dont we just get some mexicans from out in front of lowes to clean the place up

 

sounds like a great idea Ill teach a few how to pack as well and then I can open a packing cosesion stand chargh base jumpers 50 bucks a pack job and
give the the mexicans 4 bucks

Hey guys...the 6-pack is KILLIN me to let them clean up. We're gonna be out of town Memorial Day weekend for a baseball tournament for Adam. Sucks, because I was planning the Blondie BBQ and everything.

Regardless...anything that's left, the monkeys will get. They love the climb out anyway!
