if you HAVE to ask online, you probably shouldn't jump it ;-)

I have the exact same tower 40 mins from me, I've been jumping 4 years, and I've never fancied it, i know of 2 ppl that scraped the wires after off headings, 120 degrees of freedom is the minimum i like, 90 degrees just isn't very appealing.

But I've seen video of this tower being done slider-up, and I've done it from that height, just go for a minimum of 3 secs, although I'd personally recommend 3 sec slider down, simply for a better on heading performance.

I have jumped it several times. Just wanted to know what u guys think. My mentor reckons he will jump it slider up.

Do you not trust your mentor?

I've never done a 4 wire A but I have looked at a few and even went out to try and jump one once. I'd take a deep slider down delay but I'd also make sure I had a good tailwind, that could be the most critical thing in the event of a big off heading.

Edited to add: It's also worth trying to time your delay to put you in the gaps between the wires.

I voted no. I have jumped this tower a lot of times, not the exact same one, but, I stopped climbing to the peak cause I realized the extra free fall wasn't worth the risk of jumping in the "dead-zone". Too many variables.
Why not tie on a 46" and stop climbing somewhere above the first anchor point? Just me......

there is one exception to that rule Mr. Karnowski. well actually 2:

1. vitaledge is going to jump it.
2. Tom A. said you'll be ok.

but then again...it was Tom A.'s grandpappy that punched Houdini in the stomach. And I bet that his grandpappy told Houdini that " you'll be ok...let me just punch you in the stomach"

Just because you have a mentor does not mean BASE jumping is safe. I don't care if my mentor is the best there is; it's not going to change the fact that there are four mean sets of guide wires lurking to devour my canopy. Just thought the stats would be interesting on slider up/down and not to jump. Thanks for your feedback guys.
