PC question
I'm going to some terminal walls soon, and I'm trying to decide on a new PC. Some have told me 32" vented ZP, others have told me 36" F-111. I have a 293. What do you think? Slider? Will large-hole kick my ass?

Re: [thecount] PC question
go with a vented 32 zp; you'll be fine with large mesh slider. i jump a large mesh on my black jack 280 and a small mesh on my ace 280. doesn't seem to be a measurable difference but if it makes you feel better double band the slider up.

I'll be curious to see what the "Big Wall Masters" have to say about this also. With or without wingsuits.

Re: [thecount] PC question
Depends on your pulling style. Low versus high. a 32" is nasty for sub 8secs. Nice for 8 upwards unless you want low deployments, then move one or 2 sizes up (36" or 42"). Vented is a very valid option, although having a well made PC and attached symmetrically will do fine.
Remember that just because you can go terminal on a wall does not mean you will. Get a PC for your capabilities and not the wall's.
In my experience, a small mesh 36" non vented has a similar drag to a big mesh vented 32". but opening low or high (as opposed to opening at a conservative altitude) I would prefer a bigger PC.
As for sliders, You should really have that dialed in before you jump terminal walls. If that is not possible, then you should really have all 3 sliders and evaluate for the best config and hope the first jumps allow you to evaluate the openings. It really sux if you have to open high so you don't get slammed or so you don't snivell in on a terminal wall. Do your homework and terminal walls can be Disneyland instead of a proving ground.
Hope this helps,
Take care,

So i think a new 38" F111 should also not the badest decision?

Probably not. After 14-15 seconds my Dagger 244 and Fox 245 open firmly with a large hole slider but not enough to ring your bell or anything.

Re: [DaveO] PC question
with a wingsuit, I personally never put anything smaller than a 36" on (vented ZP or F111 is fine). Other than that, I have an Ace that I have jumped many times terminal with a large mesh slider (with wingsuit and without), but last year the openings started getting a bit stiffer, so I got myself a small mesh. The small mesh slows down the openings just fine, but remember that the slower the opening the larger the time window when your canopy can twist up.
