Hi,

I'm looking to add a splash of excitement to my life and I think base jumping is what I need, but I've never even wore a parachute.

Can anyone assist in telling me a good way to get started? I presume some skydiving experience is essential?

Getting a good "base" with skydiving is the best overall accepted method for the journey to becoming a BASE jumper. Like another said, you should might be ready in a few years if you even decide to persue BASE at all.

the best advice: read (as stated earlier in this thread).

it really is beneficial to lurk these forums for a month or two. by reading posts, you will discover folks with similar thinking and attitudes. you may also discover HOW to ask some questions. (excessive cockiness seems to attract a poor quality response.)
