Although I've lived in Twin Falls for four years, I've just recently started photographing BASE jumpers. Several weekends ago I was lucky enough to stop by the bridge when Tom Aiello was having a class. I got some great photos of Mark, Ryan, Chris, and Serena, along with some great photos suggestions from them.

If you are planning on being in Twin Falls, and would like some photos of your jump, let me know your schedule. I do have a regular job (actually 2 now), so I can't make every jump, but I'll make every jump I can.

If you want to see some of my photos, check out

Chris has some great photo's and I think anyone coming to TF should try to hook up with this guy for some shots.

Not of liquor at outback...although he might want a shot of tequlia? but of some good BASE pics. for you to hang on your wall.

shamless self promotion is what the internet is all about mr. chris.

Its good to get the word out on what you want to provide to someone else.

self promotion? that is fine. heck, without it, this forum would get lonely...Tongue

if you are offering assistance, very cool.

if you change your post and make it more into an ad, then Sangiro wants a fee. (advertising pays for this entire website.)

Re: [mister.m] Perrine Photography
I totally dig some of the shots you've taken with people packing, or looking down from the bridge to the viewpoint. Shots taken from the side at the exit point are an important part of things, but too many photographers don't really seem to get past that. Keep moving around and trying different things!

I appreciate the suggestions. Personally, I love candid shots. After watching several jumpers, I want to capture more of the process: the hike back up, packing, the walk out to the middle. I also want to try different angles. I haven't yet hiked down to the landing area, but I think I might try that angle.

I just need a bigger lens.

Re: [mister.m] Perrine Photography
chris, take the quick way down with us, and hike back up brother? ever thought about it?

Re: [UberChris] Perrine Photography
I have thought about taking the quick way down. Here's my thought:

That's the craziest thing I've ever seen and you couldn't pay me to do that! I'll leave the quick way to the people with a bigger need for adventure than I have. I'm pretty content watching other people throw themselves off bridges.

Besides, don't I need like 2,000,000 skydives before I BASE jump? I'll wait until then.

0,2,20,200,2000, or 2000000 skydives, start BASE jumping if/when you're ready. There is no required number, that's up to the person teaching you. About 100-200 is usually the recommended number.

Well.... if you want to start skydiving in twin falls, we're going to have a FJC in the next couple weeks down at the Jerome County Airport ;-)
