Watching Patrick skysurf and BASE jump on Eurosport channel as a little boy I knew that's what I wanted to do. He was and still is my inspiration!

He was bee a visionary... True inspiration for all of us.
Let fly free forever

A Remarkable person and a true visionary, the father of the modern wingsuit.
He had been voted World Skydiver of the Year by "Skydiving" magazine before his death, but I doubt that anyone could have imagined the influence that he would have on Skydiving and BASE jumping 15 yrs later.
Never to be forgotten,

I talked with him in Perris the week before he died to set up a phone interview for SKYDIVING Magazine while he was in Hawai'i. He died the day before we'd planned to do the interview, so I ended up writing this instead...

He is the reason I started Skysurfing . I was driving down Hwy. 8 East. a few miles from my house in about 1990 when I saw a huge Reebok Billboard add . There was Patrick Skysurfing with the Logo on the Add. " Life Is Short Play Hard" .
I hit the brakes & pulled my car over to the side of the Highway & just stared at him on that Billboard for minutes . In 1990 No one heard or saw anything like that before Patrick 'Skysurfing' . I Was blown away with Him & that add and started skysurfing as soon as I could talk the 1st DZ owner I could into letting me strap a board to my feet & exit there plane . I owed him bigtime for starting something that influenced me into receiving years of enjoyment in doing .
