jump footage needed
you guys are uber brave souls!! with all sincerity! yesterday i spent 5h on a rooftop, after which being on the ground felt so weird.. it was quite an experience being 55 storeys high hanging above the city - building the rig and trying to get this shot - as if a POV of a person who jumps off a rooftop. it's for a promo clip for a film-to-be of mine that deals with suicide. i'm an indie filmmaker (read this as next-to-zero budgets) and the footage i got with what we had is not what i want - i want it to be realistically shocking. yet - in a poetic way - the location was a highrise overlooking lake Ontario in Toronto.
what i have in mind.. the clip starts with the image of the highrise rooftop overlooking the lake as smb is on the edge about to jump - you see nothing from the person, it's a POV shot. super "suicide documented". then the jump, some 4 sec free fall - enough to send chills up the viewers' spines. at this point the frame freezes and the super changes to "suicide prevented".
i decided to post on basejump boards asking if smb has such footage that i'd be able to use. or if smb is willing to grab a clip like this on their next one..
