What's the best program to crack wpa/wep's?

Will it work with an internal wireless adaptor? Or do I need an external card?

Are you on a Mac or Windows based computer?

you should get a orinoco wireless card if you going to do that kind of stuff, or just stop being so cheap.
you should be running Linux also, make dual boot on you computer

Ah orinoco.. those were nice (lucent one here- same thing). Do they come in G? How easy are those to come by? Atheros or ipw2x00 seems to be the way to go nowadays. Good kismet support, plus don't forget all the fun that can be had with airpwn .

most of the air sniffer and other wifi program was compatible with orinoco and they come in G. you can get it do a google search they are the only way to go for wifi snoop

try tracking down a copy of kismet (pc) or kismac (mac) it shouldn't be to hard using google. You will also need a network card that can do packet injection. Then just start playing with the app :) its not that hard to figure out either app
