Prodigy 2 ws
Saw the Prodigy 2 on the phoenix-fly website today. Looks optimal for base. Basically their tracking suit with inflatable wings. Anybody tried one off an object yet?

Re: [travisjones] Prodigy 2 ws
The Prodigy 2 is just an update of the Prodigy wingsuit which has all the same BASE friendly features of the Prodigy 2.

The Prodigy has been on the market for at least a couple of years now so there's lots of experience out there from folks who have BASE jumped it.

For experienced BASE wingsuiters, the best feature of the Prodigy is the ease of putting it on. For Novice BASE wingsuiters, the best features are the ability to reach your risers/toggles without having to unzip and the lack of booties provides sure footing getting to the exit point.

At the exit point, I find that most experienced BASE wingsuiters would rather have the performance of a bigger suit than the convenience of the two piece design.

It's not just an update as I understand it.
Besided the updates it has some major changes.
It has inflatable arm wings and a much bigger leg wing.

Im not wingsuit BASE experienced, but i have like 150 wingsuit skydives. I just like how easy this suit is to move around in. I have a phantom and planning on getting a V2, but i am probably getting one of these for jumping antennas. It just seems like Small arm wings = faster inflation = more performance in shorter amount of time.I think it will be good for lower terminal objects.

Right.

The updates I've noticed are:
- Bigger Leg Wing (common modification of the Prodigy 1)
- Inflatable Arm Wings (Why didn't they do that the first time?)
- Better wing attachment (Also a common mod to the Prodigy 1)

I put in my order for a Prodigy 2 last week.

For relatively low available altitudes (<1500ft), the larger the wings, the more distance you can cover - the distance is roughly proportional to the wing area (see this analysis).

For higher altitudes, higher L/D wins, in general. However, a suit with the same L/D, but larger area will have advantage over smaller suit (or, for the same area and L/D, lighter jumper will have advantage over heavier).

I made 4 jumps in LB yesterday with the prodigy 2.
The performance is notably better compared to the old prodigy. It is still as easy to fly as the old suit, imho it is “the” beginner suit.
The new features clips makes it a lot easier to put on, especially for the elderly and the physically challenged.
At last one wingsuit now has a pocket for storing the cellphone.
Robert has listened to his customers and done an excellent job.

I am looking forward to the Phantom 2.

Re: [airdog07] Prodigy 2 ws
Me and another guy have a bunch of ws jumps from 1550'. I was getting 20+ seconds and 1200+ft pulling at 300'. I've done a couple with the V2. Flights were faster but I was getting better distance with the prodigy, most likely because I was used to the prodigy.

An aussie buddy of mine showed me a sick clip of Jimmy Freeman when I was in Norway. Not sure what ws but it was a 700ft aussie E, long flight, low pull, and set down in this barely there lz in the middle of a forest. I haven’t seen it online but one minute into this video he does a nice low pull at KL tower.

38" ZP vented. Canopy is a CUS BlackJack 220. I prefer the bigger PC for faster/harder openings since I enjoy lower openings.

Yes, as matter of fact. The only jumps that top those in style are unpacked wingsuit jumps...

Jimmy's WS flight was from 700ft, flew about 12 seconds down the talus about 20ft above the trees the whole way, opened below tree height.... and has done it twice Crazy

Another mate did his 500th in a well known gorge here in his PF, not sure of exact height, just over 900ft I think.

I think it was a Skyflyer for the first one, and his V1 for the second. Not 100% sure.
