Small canopy tards
Ive seen the video of the 10m2 speedflying wing, but has anyone done a tard with a smallish skydiving canopy? Not really planning on doing it, just kind of interested as to why it wouldnt work if it wont work. Hell, ive seen Calvin do a rollover with a paraglider, why wouldnt a stilleto tard work?

A Xaos 70-something was tard'd off potato bridge 3 years ago... went beautifully! Screaming downwind landing into the water next to the boat... just like he planned.

Ask BASE587. He did a parabilleject here with some stupid small kite--I think it was less than 50 square feet.

Is that the jump you can see in Radix or Keen And Able?
I remember seeing 2 guys mister billing a very small canopy from the bridge and just before they hit the water one guy drops to the water.

Blues.

The "Hot Rocks" kite was made by 736!

In reply to:

small skydiving canopy isn`t designed for low airpressure/speed, you could easily collapse the wing, suddenly you are under a spinning stilletoPirate that will hurt, i did a rollover once with a sabre135 witch i never do again......stupid hurts!

I want to say 26 square feet. I'd totally forgotten about that, and didn't catch Tom's reference until crwper pointed it out... Fun, fun. Except for most of the sewing -- that kind of sucked. Smile

A stilletto 120 worked pretty darn well. Took a little longer to pressurize than a base canopy, but almost perfect heading performance and a nice fast landing.

Plus if you have a line over or a tension not, the more tarp over your head the better.
